The Basics
There are already millions of words written on goal setting. But still, most goals are not achieved.
Here are some suggestions to help you accomplish your goals.
1) Your goal should be specific to you.
You should have your own goal, not a second hand one. Many people set their goals based on expectations and hopes of their cultural norms, society, parents, and teachers. By doing so, you cannot hold such goals for long periods of time. Setting a goal truly means that you should have fulfillment and happiness as you accomplish it.
Practice setting a goal that is originally yours; not assumed or inherited. If it is not from you, will it be meaningful to you? Accomplishing someone else’s goals will not give you happiness or fulfillment.
2) Your goal should be inspirational.
Your passion must represent the kind of goal you have. It must be something that will drive you to strive harder and be fulfilled. Passion is that something that pushes you to do whatever it takes to achieve your goal. It keeps you on track. It strengthens your concentration and motivates you. It inspires you. It leads to your desired goal.
